Design Critique: Resy (iOS App)

Resy is a digital platform that allows users to seamlessly reserve tables at restaurants or tickets to events/experiences. The platform provides restaurant details, menu highlights, images, and user ratings – all of which enhance the reservation experience. This article critiques the Resy App using the principles mentioned in Don Norman’s “The Design of Everyday Things”.

Case Study: Designing an accessible and cultural-centric website for the Kerala Museum

This project focused on reimagining the Kerala Museum’s digital presence to better represent it as an arts and culture museum in Kochi, Kerala. Through user research and a mobile-first design approach, I worked on creating a more accessible, engaging, and community-driven website that helps visitors explore exhibitions, events, and Kerala’s cultural stories more intuitively.

Service Design: Developing Onboarding for Visiting Scholars at Pratt

This project reimagines the onboarding experience for visiting scholars at Pratt Institute. Through service design research and participatory co-design workshops with scholars, staff, and faculty, I identified gaps in task ownership, information flow, and emotional support. The outcome is a structured onboarding system that includes a centralized website, clear email touchpoints, a co-designed welcome packet, and a shared tracking workflow. Together, these solutions create a more welcoming, transparent, and efficient experience for both visiting scholars and the teams who support them.
